The Adventures of Pepper and Bella
Pepper & Bella: Dinner Bell
Dad soaks the girls' pellets at the ship in the afternoon. Pepper keeps an eye on the dishes. For hours.
Cheshire Acres has no dinner bell.
Horses learn the sounds and sights that come before a meal, like a feed room door or a rattling bucket, much as Pavlov's dogs did, and they notice when dinner is late. Hay is the real dinner; for two small ponies the soaked pellets are barely a handful, and still the best part of the day.
